This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Gestionnaire de soumission - Transformateurs de puissance / Proposal Manager - Power Transformers based in Canada.
As a Proposal Manager, you will lead the development of strategic proposals for large-scale power transformer projects across Canada and the United States.
You will coordinate engineering, commercial, legal, sales, and other internal stakeholders to create competitive and compliant bids.
The role combines technical understanding, commercial judgment, project coordination, and strong client communication.
You will review complex customer specifications, develop pricing approaches, and ensure proposals are delivered accurately and on time.
Your work will directly contribute to winning high-value projects that support modern, resilient, and sustainable energy infrastructure.
You will operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with significant exposure to cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

- Lead end-to-end proposal activities for large power transformer projects across Canada and the United States.
- Review customer specifications, tender documentation, and commercial requirements to identify key obligations, risks, and opportunities.
- Coordinate with engineering, sales, procurement, finance, legal, and other internal teams to assess project costs and develop accurate quotations.
- Establish and manage proposal schedules, milestones, deliverables, and internal review processes to ensure submissions are completed on time.
- Develop pricing models and coordinate the required internal approvals before proposals are submitted to customers.
- Work closely with legal and relevant stakeholders to review contractual terms, conditions, and commercial risks.
- Respond to customer questions and coordinate revisions or clarifications throughout the proposal process.
- Ensure proposals comply with applicable internal procedures, external regulations, customer requirements, and relevant guidelines.
- Facilitate the transition of awarded and finalized contracts to project management teams, ensuring that key commercial and technical information is communicated effectively.
- Proactively identify potential proposal risks, coordinate their resolution, and maintain high standards of quality and accuracy throughout the bidding process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in proposal management, bid management, commercial operations, or a related field.
- Strong ability to understand and interpret technical specifications, customer requirements, and commercial documentation.
- Solid understanding of commercial risks, pricing considerations, contractual requirements, and proposal processes.
- Experience working effectively within a matrix organization and coordinating multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent project coordination, time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional fluency in both French and English is required.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple proposals and competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to managing complex information.
- Candidates must already have valid work authorization permitting them to work in Canada.
- Remote work option within Quebec, with the opportunity to work from the Varennes, Quebec location as applicable.
