Senior Community Manager - MARVEL Strike Force

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Community Manager - MARVEL Strike Force based in Canada.

This is a high-impact opportunity to lead the relationship between a major live-service game and its global player community. You will serve as a trusted voice for players while helping studio and product leaders understand community sentiment and priorities. The role combines community engagement, strategic communication, player advocacy, and data-informed decision-making. You will shape communications around launches, sensitive issues, updates, and major player moments across multiple channels. Working closely with Product, Marketing, Live Ops, CRM, and Player Experience teams, you will ensure player needs are represented throughout the development lifecycle. You will also mentor other community professionals and help strengthen community programs, processes, and standards. This is an ideal role for an experienced community leader who thrives in a fast-moving, highly collaborative live-operations environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the relationship between the studio and its player community, acting as the primary voice of the game across community channels and representing player perspectives internally.
  • Engage daily with players across different segments and channels, maintaining authentic, thoughtful, and high-quality interactions.
  • Analyze community sentiment, emerging trends, engagement signals, and player feedback to generate actionable insights and recommendations for product and studio leadership.
  • Develop and execute player communication strategies for major launches, sensitive topics, incidents, bugs, known issues, and other high-impact moments.
  • Create and deliver engaging player-facing content across blogs, video, social media, in-game messaging, and other communication formats.
  • Own the strategy, health, and continuous improvement of community initiatives, campaigns, and player programs designed to strengthen belonging and player-to-player connections.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Live Ops, CRM, Player Experience, and other stakeholders throughout feature development, launches, and releases to ensure player needs are considered early.
  • Close the feedback loop by communicating back to players when their input has influenced product decisions or improvements.
  • Mentor Community Managers by sharing expertise, strengthening processes, raising communication standards, and supporting professional development.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in community management, social media, player engagement, or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience managing community programs for live-service games, preferably within mobile gaming.
  • Strong judgment and experience handling player communications, prioritization, escalations, sensitive topics, and high-pressure situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Product, Live Operations, CRM, and Player Experience.
  • Excellent written and editorial skills, with the ability to adapt messaging and tone to different audiences and player situations.
  • Experience translating qualitative and quantitative player sentiment into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Strong data-informed mindset, with the ability to use engagement, feedback, and community signals to improve player outcomes.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced live environment.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, mentoring, and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Experience with large-scale, midcore, free-to-play mobile games is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting creator programs or community-led content initiatives is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively across distributed and international teams.
