Director, Warehouse

Summary/Objective
The Director of Warehouse holds primary responsibility to oversee warehousing in 3 Kentucky CBG locations with protentional growth. This will include ensuring all warehouses are safe, organized, and operated to company standards in quality and security. This position will also hold responsibility for overseeing all Warehouse managers as direct reports and all warehouse staff as indirect reports. (Non-inclusive description)

Primary Responsibilities

Leadership:

  • Oversee the implementation and operation of all warehouse operations including internal logistics, pick scheduling, inventory storage and security, and safety-related action plans.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators for inventory and quality control initiatives.
  • Develop and drive a culture of accountability throughout all CBG warehouse operations.
  • Recruit, hire and retain qualified team members; develop their skill sets and keep them accountable in all aspects of their performance.
  • Establish and implement continuous improvement initiatives including six sigma principles to ensure warehouse operations sustainability.
  • Show respect and fairness to all team members.
  • Grow capabilities of all team members.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure proper execution of stock movement at individual warehouse levels through partnership with Warehouse Managers.
  • Execute FIFO strategies to control product freshness in the market.
  • Enforce FDA policies and procedures to ensure warehouses comply with regulations.
  • Demonstrate accountability to business metrics and operations.

Related Duties:

  • Maintain facilities in a clean, neat, safe and organized manner.
  • Properly manage stock transfers and dunnage returns to parent companies, if applicable.
  • Obey and execute company policies and company safety policies.
  • Drive momentum in business operations.
  • Perform other related duties as instructed by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

All support and supervisory Warehouse

Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • 7+ years of Logistics and/or Warehouse management experience required
  • Six Sigma Certification required

Additional Qualifications and Competencies

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams

· Meet the following insurance and alcohol board criteria (required):

  • Aged 21 years or older
  • Verifiable CDL driving experience
  • No felonies within the past five years
  • No alcohol or controlled substance related offenses within the past two years
  • No theft within the past two years
  • No more than one reckless driving charge within the past three years

Work Environment
This position requires exposure to all seasonal weather conditions, traffic noise, automotive fumes, and cramped quarters.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. On rare occasion, the employee may be required to lift and move up to 160 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Travel
Average of 25% travel is expected for this position. More travel may be required dependent upon business needs, but advance notice will be given.
