Pay Range: $127,512.00 — $165,766.00 per year
Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview: Under the direction of the Quality Director, this position is responsible for: supporting and coordinating work groups involved in performance improvement. Participates in the review of quality policies and procedures. Facilitates the meetings of Quality Improvement Teams and other committees as required. Prepares and participates in the internal audit process guided by Regulatory agencies, Policies and "Best Practice" models regarding all quality issues. Acts as a team member during regulatory (DNV, State and Federal level) visits to support successful surveys. Contributes to data analysis to support improvement teams. Supports initiatives to attain positive Quality Outcome metrics. Participates in various committees such as the Quality Management Steering and Clinical Improvement committees. A key member of the RCA and ACA process to facilitate event review and recurrence.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, APN or PA, or a Master's in a Healthcare related field is required.
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in acute care nursing is preferred.
- Quality Management and/or previous leadership experience is preferred.
- National certification in Quality is preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Ensures timely and accurate reporting on all quality metrics.
- Supports the implementation of initiatives to improve quality outcomes in conjunction with the Quality Director.
- Reviews Quality policies and procedures.
- Advocates and influences performance improvement by educating and facilitating DMAIC process improvement techniques throughout the hospital.
- Develops reports communicating variances from expected outcomes to physicians, clinical and operations teams, various committees, senior leadership, and staff.
- Supports the High Reliability Organization process (HRO) by conducting interviews to assist with causal analysis including ACAs and RCAs.
- Reviews clinical events via medical record review and provides analysis to support documentation updates, discussions with physicians and clinical staff for performance improvement and education.
- Works across the hospital to build understanding and support for process improvement by leading Internal Audit teams.
- Acts as a resource for all staff in the hospital on quality management and performance improvement techniques; and collaborates and coordinates sharing of information with appropriate personnel.
- Provides Quality Improvement education during Hospital-wide Orientation.
- Supports planning events such as the Strategic Planning retreat.
- Data entry and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators.
