Position Summary:

Responsible for processing and supporting the timely issuance of proper payments, maintenance of all related accounts payable records, and submission of required financial, audit, and regulatory reporting.

This is a fast-paced position that requires knowledge of Excel, debits and credits, and invoicing. Our ideal candidate has previous accounts payable experience, is a proactive go-getter, motivated, a team player, and thrives in a dynamic environment. They should be able to work independently, learn quickly, and possess strong attention to detail. Additionally, knowledge of W-9 forms and 1099 experience is preferred. Familiarity with technology, including Infor, Excel, Outlook, and the Office Suite, is a plus.

This is a Monday – Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Onsite, non-exempt position with opportunities for advancement and possible hybrid/ remote work after 6 months.. Pay starts at $23.19/ hr and goes up from there depending on relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates all accounts payable processes and systems
  • Assists and works closely with all accounts payable team members
  • Analyzes invoice and expense reports for accuracy and eligibility of payment in accordance with approved policies and procedures
  • Ensures payments and the overall disbursement process are in compliance with internal rules and policies, as well as external laws and regulations
  • Provides support for accounts payable initiatives and process improvements
  • Manages timely communications with organizational and external stakeholders
  • Works closely with finance and accounting staff to validate proper recording of transactions and complete financial reporting
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree with accounting major or equivalent accounting courses preferred
  • Minimum 1 year accounting/bookkeeping experience required
  • Proficient in computer software applications (i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel) required
