We are presently searching for our next great team member as a Ski Patrol to join our Alpine Operations team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)
* Ensure guest and safety through identifying and mitigating hazards, maintaining all ski area ropes and signs, opening and closing runs, assessing, and mitigating avalanche risk, compiling weather data, providing first aid, participating in rope rescues, locating missing persons within bounds, and contributing to public education.
* Patient care record keeping and incident investigation documentation
* Maintenance, inspection, and documentation of all Ski Patrol equipment
* Communicate clearance to open runs, on-hill hazards, etc.
* Exemplify, educate and enforce the Alpine Responsibility Code
* Guest Relations, including managing difficult guests
* Assist with all special events
* Assist with keeping the ski area clean of debris and garbage
* Compliance with all Manning Park Guiding Values, policies, and procedures as outlined in employee handbook and Patrol Manual
* Sign and uphold Manning Park’s Confidentiality Agreement
* On-call evening shift for the resort and staff first aid
* Assist Lift Operation with daily opening
* Assist Terrain Park Ranger with opening, monitoring, closing features
* Assist with snow removal, roof clearing, etc.
* Other tasks as required
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
* Valid Occupational First Aid Level 3 (Preferred), CSP, 80 hr. Wilderness First Aid, or equivalent.
* Safety oriented working attitude and a professional manner
* In excellent physical condition
* Advanced skiing/snowboarding skills, must be able to ski all runs with toboggan
* Excellent communication and guest services skills
* Ability to be a supportive team member
* Able to follow direction and work unsupervised
* Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
* Previous experience in patrol, first aid, snowmobile driving, SAR an asset
* Avalanche Skill Training 1 (AST 1) or higher an asset
* Fall Protection training, Work on High or Rock Climbing experience an asset
Closing Date: August 15, 2026
This is a seasonal position; you must be able to commit to the role for the full winter season (November-April). As a seasonal team member, you may be presented with opportunities to cross train and support in other departments to meet seasonal demands.
