HR Coordinator Position Summary
The HR Coordinator supports the Human Resources Manager by assisting with daily human resources operations, employee support, recruitment coordination, onboarding processes, and HR compliance. This role plays an important part in maintaining organized HR systems, supporting employees and managers, and ensuring the smooth execution of HR programs and policies throughout the community.
The HR Coordinator helps foster a positive workplace environment by assisting with employee communications, supporting hiring efforts, maintaining accurate employee records, and helping ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This position contributes to creating an organized, responsive, and employee-focused HR department that supports Legacy Pointe at UCFs commitment to Hospitality, Service, and Accountability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment and hiring processes, including posting job openings, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communication
- Support onboarding and orientation for new hires, including preparing onboarding documents, assisting with background checks, and coordinating new hire training
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR databases in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Assist with employee relations matters by providing administrative support during investigations, documentation preparation, and follow-up communications
- Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, staff events, and internal communications
- Support benefits administration by assisting employees with enrollment questions, documentation, and coordination with benefit providers
- Assist with payroll coordination, timekeeping reviews, and employee data updates within HR systems
- Help ensure compliance with employment policies, labor laws, and regulatory requirements applicable to the organization
- Support HR reporting and data tracking, including hiring metrics, turnover reports, and workforce analytics
- Assist with employee training coordination, including Relias assignments, compliance tracking, and training documentation
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR department and serve as a helpful resource for employee questions
- Participate in special HR projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- Associate or Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field completed or currently in progress
- At least one (1) year of experience in Human Resources, administrative support, or a related office environment preferred
- Experience working in senior living, healthcare, or a regulated care environment is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion
- Comfort using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide helpful support to employees and managers
- Experience with HRIS systems, onboarding processes, or recruitment coordination is helpful but not required
