About This Position
The MIC Assembler I is an entry-level role responsible for helping build small electronic components. In this position, you will follow step-by-step instructions, work with delicate parts using basic hand tools and a microscope, and support both production and prototype assembly activities. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and interested in learning new technical skills in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Job Description
· Read, interpret, and follow detailed circuit layout drawings, work instructions, and assembly documentation.
· Perform precision epoxy die attach using manual assembly tools and microscopes.
· Assemble MIC and MMIC circuits, including components measuring 10 mil and smaller on substrates up to 4 mm.
· Execute manual gap welding operations with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
· Operate specialized production equipment including plasma cleaning systems, bake ovens, and hot work holders.
· Perform rework and repair of die-attached circuits in accordance with quality standards and engineering specifications.
· Accurately document all manufacturing steps and inspection results on production travelers and related records.
· Support the assembly of engineering prototypes and development builds as required.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-compliant work area, ensuring proper handling and storage of tools and materials.
· Team player with a positive attitude, eager to collaborate and contribute to the success of the team.
· Support special projects, providing additional assistance and resources as needed.

· Due to federal contract requirements, U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
· High school diploma or equivalent experience.
· Exposure to or willingness to learn micro-electronic circuit assembly procedures
· Exposure to technical drawings or bonding diagrams is a plus; on-the-job training will be provided.
· Ability to work with small, delicate components under a microscope.
· Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow direction.
· Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using manual assembly tools.
· Good organizational skills.
· Willingness to learn new processes, equipment, and technologies.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
· Ability to stay in stationary position for extended length of time.
· Possess manual dexterity/fine motor skills.
· Ability to work under a microscope continuously for an extended period of time.
Ability to move around a Lab, Cleanroom and light manufacturing environments
