About This Position
The MIC Assembler II performs precision assembly of small electronic components and circuits in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This role works more independently to complete detailed assembly tasks, inspect workmanship quality, and support complex production and prototype builds. In addition to advanced assembly work under a microscope, this position may provide guidance and mentoring to entry-level team members. The ideal candidate is dependable, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable working with delicate components while helping the team meet quality and production goals.
- Read, interpret, and follow detailed circuit layout drawings, bonding diagrams, and engineering work instructions
- Assemble complex MIC and MMIC circuits, including fine-pitch components and deep access housing assemblies
- Perform precision epoxy die attach using manual tools and microscopes
- Conduct component and MMIC inspections to verify workmanship and process compliance
- Perform pull testing and shear force testing to confirm assembly integrity
- Execute manual gap welding and other precision joining techniques
- Perform rework and repair of assemblies to meet engineering and quality requirements
- Operate specialized equipment such as plasma cleaning systems, bake ovens, and hot work holders
- Support engineering prototype builds and assist with process improvement efforts
- Provide guidance and mentoring to entry-level assemblers on workmanship standards and assembly techniques
- Accurately document assembly steps, inspections, and test results on production travelers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-compliant work area, ensuring proper handling and storage of tools and materials.
- Team player with a positive attitude, eager to collaborate and contribute to the success of the team.
- Support special projects, providing additional assistance and resources as needed.

U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract regulations.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
2-3 years of hands-on experience in micro-electronics, semiconductor, aerospace, or precision electronics assembly.
Ability to read and interpret detailed assembly drawings and bonding diagrams
Experience working with small, delicate components under a microscope.
Understanding of micro-electronic assembly processes and workmanship standards.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Good organizational and documentation skills.
