About This Position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Supervise: The day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, payroll, general ledger
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations in accordance with requested timelines for completion.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the annual budget, forecasting financial needs and analyzing variances.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the existing hospital/AMMSPC finance team and other departments/external parties to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Other projects/duties as requested:
  • Interaction/Knowledge of Hospital Accounting and Systems: Must learn this side of the business when trained

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on managerial roles.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Paragon, ADP, Medent) and advanced Excel skills and ability to jump in and complete day-to-day work when needed
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present financial information clearly to stakeholders.
