About the Role:
The Curvex Lead plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the fabrication processes within a manufacturing environment to ensure the production of high-quality components and assemblies. This position is responsible for coordinating daily operations, optimizing workflow, and maintaining safety and quality standards to meet production targets efficiently. The Fabrication Lead will collaborate closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to troubleshoot issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership to guide and mentor fabrication team members, fostering a productive and compliant work environment. Ultimately, the Fabrication Lead ensures that fabrication activities align with company goals, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations, driving operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in fabrication or manufacturing preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, materials, and equipment used in manufacturing.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage workflows, and meet production deadlines.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards relevant to manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in manufacturing technology, industrial engineering, or related field.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Certification in welding or other specialized fabrication skills.
- Experience with manufacturing software systems such as ERP or MES.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily fabrication activities to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Lead, train, and mentor fabrication team members to enhance skills, productivity, and safety awareness.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve fabrication challenges and implement process improvements.
- Monitor equipment performance and maintenance needs to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards within the fabrication area.
- Maintain accurate production records, report on progress, and communicate effectively with management and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in fabrication processes.
