Finishing 33: Needler Operator

Functions:

1. Operate Needle Machine and control panels

2. Sew in and Doff A-frames or buggies

3. Verify production tickets

4. Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area

5. Other duties as assigned

Equipment Used: Needle machine, pneumatic needle punch, soft face hammer, sewing machine, air hose, broom, razor knife

Requirements: Must be able to read and write. Lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to continuously walk, bend, push, pull, stoop, stretch (arms and legs) and lift arms above head level while standing on cement floor. Not permitted outside of your assigned work area without your supervisor’s knowledge.

Safety:

1. Hearing protection (when in required manufacturing areas) (company provided)

2. Safety glasses (when in required manufacturing areas) (company provided)

3. Use of proper lifting procedures

4. General housekeeping rules

5. Must complete and follow all required positional safety training
