Overview
Supervises and coordinates therapeutic and mental health services to families and children. Provides managerial and clinical supervision to dependently and independently licensed therapists providing working directly with children and families. Ensures that therapeutic services are delivered in a safe manner and in accordance with the philosophy, Methods, and Mission of Positive Leaps as well as in accordance with Ohio CSWMFT and licensure specific Code of Ethics. Reviews quality measures to ensure expectations are upheld within the department. Collaborates with the Behavior Medicine department to ensure census in the day treatment program and efficacy in treatment for children and families.
Compensation
The salary for this position is $70,000 annually.
Hours
Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day in office.

Essential Duties:
- Supervises, coordinates, and monitors clinical mental health services provided by licensed mental health therapists and trainees, to assure therapeutic mental health services are appropriate, timely, and meet quality standards set by the organization, various regulatory entities, and third-party payers.
- Monitors the quality and quantity of therapeutic services through the assignment of caseloads/clients, regular review of clinical documentation, supervisory observation and consultation, medical record audit and other methods, to assure continuous improvement of therapeutic care, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Regularly meets with Director of Clinical Operations to plan and problem solve departmental and agency needs. Advises Director of Clinical Operations regarding necessary resources to maintain high quality clinical programming.
- Communicates and collaborates effectively, verbally and in writing, with Positive Leaps’ served population, other department managers, external customers, and Director of Clinical Operations
- Establishes and maintains a spirit of cooperation and initiative among Therapy Services Team Members, and across departments within Positive Leaps.
- Creates an environment of enthusiasm and commitment.
- Demonstrates ethical conduct, in keeping with professional standards set by licensee’s professional board and Positive Leaps ethical code.
- Model professional behavior and demeanor, dress, and workspace organization.
- Collects and analyzes relevant data, prepares, updates, and maintains essential, assignment clinical and administrative documentation and records.
- Assists in the development of Policy and Procedure and assures consistent implementation of Positive Leaps Policies and Procedures, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards and regulations.
- Assists in the preparation and yearly maintenance of CARF and other accreditation standards within the Therapy Services department.
- Plans and provides for on-going staff development and training for therapists and clinical trainees.
- Anticipates and plans appropriate staffing patterns to assure high quality clinical mental health services, and to meet the demand for mental health services by Positive Leaps’ referral sources. Hires, develops, coaches, counsels, and when necessary, disciplines, Therapy Services employees.
- Provides support to therapeutic staff as needed, including coverage of clinical services, providing crisis intervention services during or after regular business hours via rotating phone, only On-Call responsibilities, and provision of case management and aftercare services.
- Provides training to outside groups, or sales support upon request.
- Participates in strategic planning for the organization upon request.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
· Requires a master’s degree from an accredited program for Counseling or Social Work.
· Requires independent licensure as a mental health Therapist, with Supervisory Designation, in the state of Ohio (e.g. LPCC-S, LISW-S).
· CPR and First Aid Certification are required and may be provided upon hire.
· Valid driver’s license and auto insurance as travel between offices is required.
· Must have superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and analytical skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requires rapid and ethical decision making and problem solving.
· Ability to manage work stressors in a competent and effective manner as well as assist others in managing stressors.
· Ability to run short distances and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
· A minimum of three years’ experience providing counseling or therapy in a clinical setting. Supervisory experience is highly preferred.
· Work schedule must be flexible and include evening and on-call responsibilities during weekend hours.
· Requires annual Flu vaccinations and is encouraged to obtain CDC recommended
