Principal Software Engineer (.NET+React) - Team lead experience in at FusionHit

We are looking for a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer with full-stack expertise and proven experience in technical leadership. You will play a critical role within FusionHit, leading a small team of 3-4 developers and taking ownership of technical solutions, team performance, and fostering alignment with client goals.

You will be joining a fast-paced, dynamic environment within FusionHit, working with our client in the financial services sector. This long-term position offers the chance to work on a modern, cloud-based application, utilizing cutting-edge technologies to build scalable and efficient solutions.

Our client is a leader in the financial services industry, specializing in innovative solutions for equipment financing. With a mission to modernize the way businesses secure funding for essential assets, they provide customized leasing options to fit each company's unique needs.

This project focuses on building from scratch a new internal application to streamline operations and improve user experiences.

Location: Must reside and have work authorization in Latin America.

The ideal candidate has:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, with 6+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Full-stack expertise in:
  • Backend: .NET Core C#.
  • Cloud: Azure services and components.
  • Databases: CosmosDB or MongoDB.
  • Frontend: React for dynamic and responsive UI development.
• Demonstrated experience as a Team Lead, managing small teams of 3-4 developers with:
  • Strong skills in people management, conflict resolution, and project oversight.
  • Ability to monitor team performance, handle workload distribution, and drive team cohesion.
• Excellent communication skills for managing stakeholders effectively.
• Experience in leading teams with a hands-on approach: 80% coding and 20% administrative or coaching responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills in English (C1 preferred; strong B2 may be considered).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and efficient full-stack solutions.
• Serve as the technical leader for a small team of developers, mentoring senior and mid-level team members.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, translating technical challenges into non-technical terms.
• Take ownership of project risks, proactively addressing them to ensure successful delivery.
• Monitor team workload and performance, providing continuous feedback and individual development plans.
• Lead and participate in code reviews, ensuring high standards for code quality and best practices.
• Allocate time for performance reviews, 1:1 meetings, and administrative tasks.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, applying them where relevant to improve team performance and technical solutions.
