Position Summary:
The Foreclosure Specialist will be responsible for managing a portion of Renovo Financial’s default foreclosure pipeline. Critical thinking and organization are paramount to success in the role. The ideal candidate must also possess an eye for detail and an understanding of the mortgage lending industry. Other responsibilities will include: review and preparation of default notices, review and intake of default vendor invoices, appointment and monitoring of property receiverships, and managing deficiency lawsuits. The Foreclosure Specialist will travel and appear on behalf of the organization at mediations, trials and other hearings. This position is eligible for overtime. In this role, you will report directly to the Vice President of Foreclosure at Renovo Financial.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the foreclosure process, end to end, and properly document the loan file with accurate and complete status updates.
  • Review draft pleadings and other foreclosure documents for accuracy.
  • Review loan payoffs and payment history, and complete financial breakdowns.
  • Prepare bidding materials for all foreclosure sales with investor/servicer guidelines.
  • Endorse, certify and report foreclosure sale results within 24 hours of sale.
  • Properly document actions taken and correspondence with law firms, and manage relationships with law firms.
  • Monitor and manage other default processes, including but not limited to: bankruptcy, deficiency lawsuits, receiverships, and default notices.
  • Ensure all cases have clear & marketable title throughout the foreclosure process.
  • Examine foreclosure invoices per case and ensure that fees & costs meet investor/servicer guidelines.
  • Create and monitor exception reporting.
  • Prioritize and manage the escalation of urgent matters to the Vice President of Foreclosure.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of default-servicing processes, and conform to established department policies, procedures and job aids.
  • Execute default-servicing strategies.
  • Manage other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • 2+ years experience in loan servicing is required, preferably in a foreclosure role.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule (this is preferred but for the right candidate remote may be available) by living in Chicago or the Chicagoland area.
  • Ability to travel and appear on behalf of the organization at mediations, trials and other hearings is required.
  • Manage daily tasks and prioritize workload independently in a high email volume environment.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization from servicing team members to senior management.
  • Team-player who will work to find solutions. • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel & PowerPoint is required; experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Experience with Bankruptcy is a plus.
  • Experience with business purpose loans is a plus.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
