General Security Officer at Gibraltar Protection Inc – Los Angeles, California

We are looking to fill many security guard positions in the Downtown Los Angeles/Koreatown area. We are looking for someone with open availability; day, swing and weekend shifts are a must. Security guards must be professional and friendly. They have to be alert and be willing to perform foot patrol. The ideal candidate will be vigilant, professional, and capable of responding effectively to security concerns.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform security foot patrols
• Monitor site conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Respond to alarms notify police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Verbally warn violators of rule infractions
• Allow authorized persons to enter property and monitor access points.
• Monitor and enforce Property Removal, as well as deter theft.
• Investigate and prepare Incident Reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Maintain professional demeanor and assist. customers, employees and visitors in a courteous manner

• Must have a valid CA guard card license
• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Reliable Means of Transportation
• Driver License Preferred but not Mandatory (Some Positions require it)
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Active listening skills
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
