Job Description

At Tive, we imagine a fully-transparent world in which everything and everyone is connected. We innovate beyond what the world thought possible—so what people hold near and dear arrives on time and in full.

We believe (and live!) four core values:

  • Transparency First: We make everything visible so that everyone can operate better
  • Always strive to make things simpler
  • We are One Team, we have each other's backs
  • Relentless iteration to optimize and improve

Whether shipped by road, rail, ocean, or air, Tive reduces shipment delays, minimizes rejected loads, and decreases theft, damage, and spoilage. Our customers count on Tive to ensure that their shipments are delivered on time and in full—because every shipment matters.

As a Shipping and Receiving Associate, you will be the operational heartbeat of Tive's outbound fulfillment, ensuring that every customer orders ships accurately, on time, and in full. You will own the daily rhythm of pick, pack, and ship while serving as our internal expert on carriers, rates, and shipping exceptions. This role sits at the intersection of warehouse execution and systems-driven coordination, and offers a significant runway for someone who wants to grow into broader fulfillment operations.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or fulfillment operations in a high-volume environment
  • Hands-on proficiency with FedEx systems, including rate generation, label creation, address corrections, and exception resolution
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow and improve written procedures
  • Comfort working in business systems to manage sales orders, inventory transactions, and shipment data
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to surface process gaps and propose durable fixes
  • Excellent written communication, particularly across Slack and email with internal teams
  • Professional experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Familiarity with DHL Express, DHL Global Freight, and UPS portals is a plus
  • Working knowledge of dangerous goods and lithium battery shipping requirements is a plus
  • Exposure to international shipping, IOR documentation, and duties/taxes is a plus
  • Experience coordinating with 3PL partners or external warehouses is a plus

What you'll be doing:

  • Process daily outbound sales orders pick, pack, label, and ship trackers and beacons via FedEx, DHL, and UPS, hitting our same-day shipping cutoff
  • Generate domestic and international shipping quotes (ground, expedited, international) on request from Sales, Customer Experience, and Account Management teams
  • Investigate and resolve carrier exceptions, including address corrections, failed deliveries, customs holds, and proof-of-delivery requests
  • Receive inbound material customer returns (RMAs), vendor shipments, and inter-warehouse transfers into NetSuite with full inventory accuracy
  • Coordinate with Tive's US 3PL partner on outbound shipments to ensure on-time, in-full delivery to the customer
  • Maintain shipping documentation and packaging standards for lithium battery and dangerous goods compliance
  • Partner with Finance and the NetSuite team on inventory adjustments, reconciliations, and inventory record corrections
  • Surface friction points in our shipping workflows and partner with Operations to design improvements that scale
  • Support ad-hoc fulfillment, packaging, and inventory projects as the business grows

What does Tive offer?

  • A chance to join what may very well turn out to be the most important company in your career.
  • The autonomy and resources to build what you know how to build.
  • Work with a committed global team that have each others back.
  • Competitive equity to ensure all of our employees have a sense of ownership in the long-term success of Tive's growth.

We celebrate diversity, and consider it key to our success as both a team and a company. We are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment of mutual respect for all employees.
