Job Description
Greystone Golf and Country Club is looking for a full-time front desk receptionist to join the team!
This role will provide the utmost hospitable service to members and their guests and create raving fans by acting as the first impression of the club and assisting in most administrative tasks related to the club and the club experience for the membership. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
Essential Functions:
Answer a telephone with multiple lines in a timely and courteous fashion.
Accept direction from different sources and handle multiple tasks.
Remain at the front desk at all times. This is critical to the success of the company. A thirty-minute lunch break is permitted, and any other approved prearranged breaks.
Open the front door for guests entering and exiting the Club, greeting them, and saying goodbye in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide assistance and information to members and guests, including directing them to areas of the facility and connecting them with staff members.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of current and future club events.
Promote Club events.
Manage the online reservation system. Inform necessary staff of highlights or changes to events/reservations.
Take detailed messages and respond to inquiries promptly.
Maintain orderliness of clubhouse, especially front desk, foyer, dining room, breezeway, entrance & bathrooms.
Use templates to create food cards, name cards, menus, signs, etc.
Assist with decorating clubhouse and maintaining aesthetics.
Assist potential employees in fulfilling the application process.
Assist the administrative staff with duties as requested.
Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to the supervisor.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
Set up and advertise grab-n-go meals each week on the website and by email.
Place calls/send emails to waitlist, cancellations, RSVPs, wine order pickup, etc.
Assist members with login problems on the website and App.
Receive and direct packages, safely store packages to keep common areas clear, and notify recipients.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a receptionist in a country club, resort, professional office, or public setting
Ability to sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
At least 1-year of customer service experience
Strong computer skills
Strong organizational skills, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills
