Positively Partners Principal Consultant, Organizational Effectiveness

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Positively Partners Principal Consultant, Organizational Effectiveness based in the United States.

As a Principal Consultant, Organizational Effectiveness, you will partner with mission-driven organizations to strengthen leadership, culture, and organizational performance through strategic consulting engagements. In this senior consulting role, you will guide executive teams from organizational assessment through implementation, delivering practical, evidence-based solutions that create measurable and lasting impact. Working in a collaborative, fully remote environment, you will lead complex client engagements while contributing to business development, thought leadership, and the continuous evolution of consulting methodologies. Accountabilities
  • Lead a portfolio of organizational effectiveness consulting engagements from discovery and assessment through implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary advisor and relationship manager for executive leaders and boards, building trusted partnerships that generate measurable outcomes, client satisfaction, and long-term engagement.
  • Conduct organizational assessments by analyzing interviews, focus groups, workforce metrics, employee feedback, organizational structures, and business data to identify root causes and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Design and implement evidence-based solutions across organizational design, leadership development, HR strategy, workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management, and change management.
  • Facilitate executive retreats, strategic planning sessions, leadership workshops, and organizational transformation initiatives that align stakeholders and support sustainable change.
  • Develop consulting frameworks, playbooks, tools, and implementation resources that strengthen consulting methodologies and improve service delivery.
  • Contribute to proposals, business development efforts, networking initiatives, and thought leadership while supporting annual consulting revenue objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated consulting solutions that address clients' broader organizational and people-related challenges.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by sharing best practices, lessons learned, and innovative approaches that enhance consulting effectiveness.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in organizational effectiveness, organizational development, HR strategy, management consulting, or related advisory roles.
  • Proven experience advising executive leadership teams and boards, ideally within nonprofit, education, social impact, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple complex consulting engagements simultaneously while balancing scope, budgets, timelines, quality, and client expectations.
  • Strong expertise in organizational design, leadership development, workforce planning, employee engagement, organizational performance, and change management.
  • Exceptional facilitation, executive communication, relationship management, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze both qualitative and quantitative organizational data to diagnose systemic challenges and develop practical, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Experience contributing to consulting business development through proposal development, client expansion, revenue generation, or strategic growth initiatives.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and client-focused mindset with the ability to work independently while partnering effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with Positive Psychology, Positive Organizational Scholarship, or other evidence-based organizational effectiveness frameworks is considered an asset.
  • Must be based in the United States and available to work Eastern Time Zone business hours.
Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary of $105,000 – $140,000, based on experience.
  • Eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus of up to 10%.
