Schedule & Flexibility

• 6:00 AM varying start times M-F weekend rotation

Per Diem Position

• Support the Operating Room during designated batch weeks.
• Availability for one week per month is required.
• Schedules are provided at least one month in advance, allowing ample opportunity for personal planning and flexibility.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and organize instruments, supplies, and equipment required for surgical procedures.
• Establish and maintain sterile fields while adhering to the highest standards of aseptic technique.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide seamless intraoperative support.
• Pass instruments, sponges, and sutures during procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
• Support gynecology and urology surgical procedures through expert knowledge of instrumentation and surgical workflows.
• Assist with patient transport to and from the surgical suite while promoting patient comfort and safety.
• Monitor for and immediately address potential breaches in sterile technique.
• Prepare, clean, and facilitate the sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Partner collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and the surgical team to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Serve as a resource for new team members through training and mentorship.
• Adhere to all infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a nationally accredited Surgical Technology program and current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential, or qualifying experience as a surgical instrument technician prior to January 1, 2015, with required documentation.
• Current BLS Certification.

Preferred

• Two or more years of Surgical Technologist experience.
• Prior experience in Women's Health, Reproductive Endocrinology, or Fertility Care.
• Experience supporting physicians in an ambulatory surgical or specialty-care setting.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile processing, and surgical procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to learn and navigate electronic healthcare systems.
