Job Description
Position Summary
The Mobile Lube Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance services on heavy equipment.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Performs preventative service and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to oil changes, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, etc., on company equipment as needed, with little or no direct supervision, at the Niece location or onsite with customers.
- Inspects the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues, and consults with mechanics to address vehicle issues
- Checking tire pressure to ensure tires are filled to manufacturer specifications
- Installing and/or replacing car parts, including but not limited to windshield wipers and batteries, as needed
- Prepares and completes all job-related documents, including but not limited to service reports and work orders, efficiently and timely
- Maintains service vehicle inspection records
- Adheres to all safety policies and company procedures, including but not limited to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
- Maintains all equipment, tools, and vehicles in good, clean working condition.
- Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area
- Ensures adequate inventory for service needs, including notifying of inventory reordering needs in a timely manner
- Collaborates with the Service Manager and other internal team members to ensure efficient communications and services are consistently delivered to exceed customer expectations
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Knowledge of automotive service needs and performing necessary service to vehicles, trailers, generators, etc.
- Ability to adhere to established safety policies and all required local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Skill and ability to use automotive tools and equipment, scan tools, and computer systems
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience
1-2 years of experience in an equivalent role preferred
Additional Requirements
Valid driver's license and related insurance
Must pass a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
Working Conditions
This position requires working indoors and outdoors under varying weather conditions, and includes the risk of fire or explosion, risk of electrical shock, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and/or loud noise levels with exposure to vibration, glare, moving objects, slippery surfaces, congested areas, and sharp objects. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, multitask, and perform complex/varied/simple/repetitive tasks with precise attention to detail, and meet deadlines. Must be able to control the work pace, follow instructions, influence people, handle confrontational situations, and work alone or in a group. The position may require travel to perform services, irregular hours, including weekends. Tobacco-free environment.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the following physical requirements on a frequent and constant basis: walking, standing, bending forward, twisting, reaching above shoulder level, below chest level, and/or chest-to-shoulder level, elbow extension, wrist extension and rotation, the twisting and tilting of the neck, and also frequent crouching, squatting, and kneeling, and the ability to exert force up to 100 lbs. Sensory demands include hearing, speech, color vision, near vision, spatial perception, tactile, and smell.
