Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides high quality therapeutic services to Radix Recovery clients while working effectively as a member of the care team. This position plays a vital role in treatment collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, counselors, and support staff to provide the highest quality care to support individuals in their recovery journey.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical Responsibilities
• Responsible for the clinical monitoring, coordinating, and implementing of the program in accordance with state and The Joint Commission Standards.
• Develop individualized, person-centered treatment plans for clients that include measurable and time-limited goals and objectives, reflecting the strengths, needs, goals, and preferences of the client in their own language.
• Conducts follow-up therapy sessions that align with the goals and objectives outlined in the treatment plan.
• Completes assessments in a timely manner to establish admission baselines and re-assesses according to company policy.
• Performs biopsychosocial assessments, evaluates the mental health status of clients, and conducts timely follow-ups.
• Monitors and documents treatment responses of clients in their caseload and ensures that standards of care align with NCCHC/ACA or accepted psychological standards.
Communication and Collaboration
• Acts as the mental health liaison between nursing and operations staff for their assigned caseload.
• Provides input to facility administration regarding treatment response and progress reports of clients on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Actively communicates with the Clinical Director and Utilization Review regarding the status and progress of clients.
Quality Assurance and Education
• Develops and conducts in-service education programs according to the annual in-service calendar.
• Prepares and submits monthly reports reflecting performance to the designated Supervisor.
Client Safety and Support
• Actively assists with the detection and prevention of client suicide.
• Provides one-to-one intervention and follow-up for clients experiencing substance abuse and/or mental health complications.
Administrative Responsibilities
• Completes treatment plan reviews according to company standards.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely entries are made for each client contact. Workplace Maintenance
• Participate in maintaining a clean, well-organized, and efficiently supplied work environment, contributing to a positive atmosphere for both clients and staff.
• Observe and report any safety or maintenance issues promptly to ensure a safe and functional workplace. Professional Conduct:
• Interact with clients and colleagues in a respectful and empathetic manner, maintaining professional boundaries and a demeanor that fosters trust and rapport.
• Uphold the privacy and confidentiality of all client information in accordance with federal and state laws, actively reporting any concerns regarding privacy violations or policy breaches to supervisors.
Requirements:REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
• A minimum of a master’s degree and an active license in mental health counseling, family counseling, or social work in the state of Iowa is required. (A therapist with a temporary license must already have clinical supervision; only administrative supervision would be provided.)
• Minimum of two years' experience working in a mental health field is preferred.
• EMDR preferred or willing to get EMDR certification.
