Valley View Village Assisted Living, a Cassia community, is hiring a PRN Caregiver to join our compassionate care team. As a PRN Caregiver at Valley View Village Assisted Living, you will assist residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and comfort. You’ll provide hands-on support, respond to resident needs, and collaborate with the care team to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a genuine heart for serving seniors.

Position Type: On-Call (Flexibility to work both shifts)
Days: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Nights: 7:00 pm to 7:00 am

Location: 2571 Guthrie Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317

Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Provide residents with desired services in a caring, safe and timely manner.
• Provide redirection, reassurance, emotional and psychological support to residents and family members.
• Assist residents with personal care with dignity and grace.
• Document services performed on computerized charting system.
• Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Prior experience preferred, but will train.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Clear documentation skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential information
