Respiratory Therapist at Buchanan County Health Center – Independence, Iowa

The Respiratory Therapy Technician assumes responsibility and accountability to provide bedside respiratory care to patients as assigned by supervisor and given on the physician's written order for both in house and out patient care.

Must be a graduate of an approved school of respiratory care.

Must be registered, or registry eligible, certified or certified eligible.

Must possess current Iow state license.

In addition to meeting the educational and/or license requirement(s) associated with this position, must be able to provide documentation (copy of transcript or diploma) to verify completion of education. At a minimum, documentation provided must be for High School or GED equivalency, but more advanced diplomas are also accepted for other levels of education completed.

CPR Certification required.

One year prior professional Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.

Must have the ability to demonstrate self-confidence and positive attitude toward self and others.
