Manager - IT Application Support

You will oversee application support operations, ensuring high service availability, efficient incident management, and strong governance practices. Accountabilities:
  • Lead the day-to-day management of enterprise application support operations, ensuring system stability, performance, and business continuity
  • Oversee incident, problem, and event management processes in alignment with ITIL best practices and governance standards
  • Supervise issue resolution, code changes, and support activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and applicable regulatory standards
  • Partner with business and technology teams to successfully transition projects and enhancements into stable operational environments
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to system availability, incident resolution, and operational effectiveness
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and actionable insights to support leadership decision-making
  • Promote shift-left support practices through knowledge sharing, documentation, and process optimization
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, coordinating escalations and ensuring adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs)
  • Oversee resource planning, timelines, budgets, and operational delivery for assigned IT initiatives
  • Lead, coach, and develop application support professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and technical excellence
  • Drive talent development, performance management, and future skills planning to support evolving business and technology needs
  • Encourage innovation, service improvement, and adherence to quality standards, including Definition of Done (DoD) practices
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Advanced or fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven experience managing enterprise application support teams in complex corporate environments
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices, including incident, problem, event, and service management processes
  • Experience overseeing application lifecycle support and working within SDLC frameworks
  • Knowledge of IT governance, compliance, audit controls, and operational risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage external vendors, service providers, and stakeholder relationships effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience leveraging KPIs and operational metrics to drive improvements
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities
  • Ability to balance operational priorities, strategic initiatives, and business objectives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and service optimization programs
