Job Description

SAP & Corporate Systems Tech Lead

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a SAP & Corporate Systems Tech Lead in Brazil.

This is a founding technical leadership role responsible for shaping, stabilizing, and evolving the SAP S/4HANA and corporate systems landscape within a fast-growing, highly regulated fintech environment. You will act as the primary technical authority for SAP and surrounding enterprise applications, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance across Finance, HR, Legal, Procurement, Audit, and Compliance systems. The role blends deep hands-on execution with strategic architecture ownership, requiring you to define governance models, integration standards, and clean-core SAP principles. You will work in close partnership with product leadership while driving the technical roadmap, system reliability, and operational excellence. This is a highly impactful position where your decisions directly influence regulatory compliance, financial operations, and enterprise efficiency. Operating in a remote, fast-paced, and AI-first environment, you will also play a key role in reducing vendor dependency and building internal SAP capability from the ground up.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end technical execution and governance of SAP S/4HANA and corporate systems, ensuring stability, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Define and implement the SAP and corporate systems operating model, including governance structures, lifecycle management, change control, and support processes.
  • Own technical architecture decisions across SAP landscapes, including upgrades, support packs, kernel updates, system refreshes, and environment strategy.
  • Establish integration standards and patterns across SAP and enterprise systems, prioritizing API-first, secure, and auditable architectures.
  • Define and enforce observability, monitoring, and operational health metrics for SAP systems, including incident, performance, and audit indicators.
  • Govern transport management, change management processes, and production release safety using tools such as STMS and ChaRM/SAP Cloud ALM.
  • Lead SAP HANA operations oversight, including performance tuning, replication, backup and recovery, and capacity planning.
  • Ensure SAP security and compliance alignment with LGPD, BACEN, SOX (where applicable), and internal audit requirements.
  • Drive adaptation of SAP systems to fiscal, legal, and regulatory changes in Brazil and LATAM, including SAP Notes implementation and master data impacts.
  • Act as Tier 3 escalation for complex production incidents, performing root cause analysis and ensuring durable corrective actions.
  • Champion a clean-core SAP strategy, minimizing customizations and promoting API-based extensibility and external orchestration layers.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership, including configuration review, code validation, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, engineers, security, infrastructure teams, and external implementation partners.
  • Mentor technical teams and contribute to recruitment, capability building, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience in SAP platform operations.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, including upgrades, support packs, system administration, and production support.
  • Strong expertise in SAP HANA operations, including replication, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and monitoring.
  • Deep understanding of SAP transport management and change governance (STMS, ChaRM, SAP Cloud ALM).
  • Solid functional knowledge of SAP FI/CO and integration with core financial processes; knowledge of MM, SD, Treasury, or HR is a plus.
  • Experience defining SAP integration strategies, including API-first, event-driven, and loosely coupled architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP security concepts, including roles, SSO, certificates, audit logs, and segregation of duties.
  • Experience operating SAP in cloud environments such as RISE with SAP or AWS, including HA/DR and cost awareness.
  • Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Python or Shell) for automation and operational support.
  • Experience in regulated industries (fintech, banking, payments, retail, or e-commerce) with exposure to BACEN, LGPD, SOX, and Brazilian fiscal complexity.
  • Experience leading technical teams or workstreams in complex enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with SAP BTP, Integration Suite, BW/4HANA, and modern CI/CD practices for SAP is a plus.
  • Strong ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels in fast-changing environments.
  • Fluent Portuguese and advanced English and Spanish are required.
Benefits:
  • Competitive and market-aligned salary.
  • Fully remote work with flexibility to work from anywhere.
  • Monthly home office allowance via app-based benefit.
  • Health and dental plans with no co-payment.
  • Life insurance coverage.
  • Flexible meal allowance.
  • Wellness support through fitness membership access.
  • Inclusive and diverse work environment that values different perspectives.
  • Opportunity to build and lead a foundational SAP and corporate systems capability in a high-growth fintech environment.
