Job Overview:

The National Simulation Center’s Global Simulation Capability serves as the US Army’s Constructive Simulation Provider for Army Corps and Division Headquarters home station training events in the Continental United States. This is position supports the Global Simulation Capability, National Simulation Center at Fort Leavenworth, KS in support of the National Simulation Center (NSC) Support Operations (SO) task order under MTCCS II IDIQ.

Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established the Government customer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and quickly troubleshoot problems on federate systems (co-located and at remote sites), RTI infrastructure software, client system software, and networking.
  • Serve as a manager of the JLCCTC Federation and as a communications hub for multiple simultaneous events.
  • Advise government representatives on technical recommendations and timelines with regard to JLCCTC capabilities.
  • Ensures all exercise databases are complete, accurate, functional, and on time.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum and Preferred Requirements/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (IS, IT, or associated discipline) / Experience administering server-side technology and networked computing systems, working knowledge of SQL and DB operations.
  • 5 years’ experience within the past 10 years, in planning simulation exercise architectures, supervising the implementation of communication systems, and the integration of Army Mission Command Systems in support of distributed exercises.
  • 5 years’ experience in information technology management.
  • DoD IAT II Certification.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience to appropriately advise government representatives on technical recommendations and timelines with regard to JLCCTC capabilities.
  • Experience with managing multiple simultaneous events.

Security Requirement:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.

Travel Required: 33-50%
