What You'll Do

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using the dish machine and three-compartment sink.
• Monitor dish machine temperatures and sanitizer levels and report any problems to a manager.
• Return clean dishes and equipment to their proper storage areas so stations stay stocked during service.
• Keep the dish area clean, organized, and free of clutter throughout the shift.
• Empty trash, recycling, and compost and keep disposal areas clean.
• Sweep and mop floors, clean mats, and help maintain overall kitchen cleanliness.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and use required PPE.
• Assist with basic food prep, restocking, and deliveries as directed.
• Communicate with kitchen and front-of-house team members to keep service running smoothly.
• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned.

Compensation: $17.50 per hour.

What You Bring

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout an 8+ hour shift
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat, steam, and wet conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Food Handler's Card required (or willing to obtain within first 14 days of employment)
• Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required

The Physical Stuff

• Standing for long periods in hot, humid conditions.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., including racks, trays, buckets, and boxes.
• Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching.
• Working in close proximity to steam, chemicals, and sharp objects.
• Moving quickly in confined spaces with wet floors.
• Non-slip footwear and required PPE must be worn at all times.
