Are you a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) looking to expand your career into sleep medicine?

Pivotal Health offers an excellent pathway for respiratory therapists interested in pursuing their Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic sleep laboratory environment.

• Perform overnight polysomnographic studies in accordance with AASM standards
• Prepare patients for testing by applying electrodes and monitoring equipment
• Verify proper signal quality and equipment calibration throughout testing
• Monitor, record, and document sleep-related physiological events
• Initiate, monitor, and troubleshoot PAP therapy as ordered
• Score and analyze sleep studies in accordance with established guidelines
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards
• Deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining a safe and comfortable testing environment

• Completion of an accredited Polysomnography Program
• Current New York Polysomnography License (PSG) and/or New York CRT/RT License
• Current BLS/CPR Certification
• Ability to work overnight and weekend schedules
• Strong technical aptitude and commitment to patient-centered care
• Ability to meet all required health screening and immunization requirements

• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) Credential
• Previous sleep laboratory experience
• Experience with PAP therapy and sleep study scoring

Candidates without an RPSGT credential must possess a valid New York PSG or RT license.
