Job Description:
Bunker Hill Community College a dynamic community college committed to student success and competitive athletics, is seeking an energetic and versatile Athletics Operations & Communications Assistant to join our team. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of collegiate athletics, including game day operations, social media management, and compliance support.
This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in college athletics administration while making a meaningful impact on the student-athlete experience.
Responsibilities:
Athletics Operations & Game Day Management
- Lead and manage game day operations for home athletic events, ensuring a professional and engaging environment
- Serve as on-site administrator for assigned contests
- Coordinate staffing, setup, and event logistics
Communications & Social Media
- Create and manage athletics social media content, including live game updates, graphics, and promotions
- Promote athletic events, student-athlete achievements, and department initiatives
- Maintain a consistent and engaging digital brand presence
Compliance & Administrative Support
- Support compliance efforts through organization of documentation and eligibility tracking
- Maintain accurate and organized records in accordance with institutional policies
Program Support & Collaboration
- Collaborate with coaches and staff to support team and departmental needs.
- Assist with special events, recruiting activities, and community engagement initiatives
Additional Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
Requirements:
- Passion for college athletics and student-athlete development
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with social media platforms and content creation
- Ability to work evenings and weekends (game days)
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Additional Information:
Salary: $25 per hour/18.5 hours week part time non-benefited position. Flexible schedule with required evenings and weekends.
