About the role
You will play an instrumental role in ensuring Rippling’s continued success - responsible for setting financial targets, forecasting, and partnering closely with cross-functional finance leaders to execute on the plan. Rippling is a complex and ultra-high-growth company, and we are looking for individuals who can be critical thought partners to the leadership team in making high ROI decisions and navigating difficult business challenges. This role will work closely with senior management across the broader CFO org and will have a high level of executive visibility.
The team is a talented group of finance professionals with prior experiences across high-growth tech companies, investment banking, private equity, and venture capital. This role will be based in either our San Francisco or New York office.
What you will do- Manage Planning Coordination: Manage the company's annual, quarterly process and calendar, clearly communicating timelines and expectations to all stakeholders. Oversee corporate-level forecast consolidation including forecast reconciliation.
- Lead Financial Statement Management: Lead the consolidation, reporting, and management of all financial statements (P&L and CF), including monthly and quarterly variance analysis and trend assessments. You will partner and build processes with our functional FP&A partners, and Accounting to ensure timeliness and accuracy in order to surface meaningful insights to leadership. The Corporate FP&A team will also own other enterprise-level expenses such as taxes, insurance, interest, EBIT to FCF forecasting and so forth.
- Be responsible for Reporting: Develop and oversee the creation of high-impact financial reporting packages for senior management (e.g. CFO, Investor Relations, Board of Directors)
- Manage Headcount Planning: Manage the headcount forecast with our functional FP&A partners. Own related people expenses (benefits, fringe, etc.)
- Drive Automation: Leverage AI & systems to automate workflows in order to enhance forecasting accuracy and improve operational efficiency
- Oversee Team Development: This role will function as a player-coach and requires a strong hands-on work ethic as we maintain a small and high-impact Corporate FP&A function
- 7+ years of total experience, including 2-3 years at a high-growth public technology company
- Experience developing / automating management reports on financial performance. Enthusiastic about the future of AI in Finance and interested in leveraging new tools to increase efficiency.
- Extensive experience with Anaplan or other relevant ERP solutions (e.g. Pigment).
- Deep understanding of key accounting concepts required.
- Experience taking a private company public is nice to have, but not required
- Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills. A track record of building and maintaining complex operating models
- Organized, attentive to detail, and intellectually curious
