Sr. Engineer - Developer Velocity

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Engineer - Developer Velocity based in Brazil.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Engineer focused on Developer Velocity, you will be responsible for improving engineering efficiency through advanced tooling, automation, and AI-powered development practices. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Standardizing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise DevOps toolchains to support scalable software delivery.
  • Designing and implementing service catalogs, DevOps automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and advanced deployment strategies such as blue-green and canary releases.
  • Driving adoption of AI-enabled DevOps practices and intelligent developer tools to improve productivity, accelerate delivery cycles, and optimize engineering workflows.
  • Integrating deployment frameworks across development teams while ensuring adherence to standardized processes, security requirements, and best practices.
  • Supporting production and development environments within complex, integrated technology ecosystems.
  • Leading knowledge-sharing initiatives, training sessions, and enablement activities related to DevOps tools and engineering practices.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, requirements, and best-practice guidelines for DevOps technologies.
  • Measuring and improving developer productivity through data-driven insights, tooling enhancements, and continuous workflow optimization.
  • Supporting the integration of Generative AI and AIOps capabilities into software development processes to improve reliability, automation, and operational efficiency.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced software engineering professional with strong DevOps expertise and a passion for improving developer experiences through technology. The required qualifications and skills include:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure and pipelines.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Harness, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with code quality, security, and compliance tools to identify vulnerabilities, bugs, and engineering risks.
  • Hands-on experience managing Artifactory environments, including artifact repository management, package lifecycle governance, dependency management, and CI/CD integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of AI-powered developer productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, OpenAI solutions, or similar technologies.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve software development workflows, code generation, troubleshooting, automation, and engineering efficiency.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to work across technical teams.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and ITIL frameworks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, collaborative, and fast-moving technology environment.
