Job Description

OXXO USA is redefining the convenience store experience across the United States through customer‑centric service, operational excellence, and data‑driven growth. As part of FEMSA’s global retail platform, we are expanding rapidly and investing in analytics, innovation, and strategic decision‑making to fuel long‑term value creation.

We’re looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to play a critical role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive performance across our business.

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst serves as a strategic thought partner to business and functional leaders, using advanced analytics, modeling, and visualization to support operational, financial, and strategic decisions. This role works independently on complex problems, leads analytics initiatives, and acts as a subject‑matter resource for less experienced team members.

You will analyze large, complex datasets from multiple sources, build models to evaluate performance and future scenarios, and communicate insights that influence key business outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze, model, and interpret operational, financial, and organizational data to assess business performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop advanced analytical models to evaluate operational changes, market dynamics, and strategic initiatives
  • Build and maintain business intelligence dashboards, reports, and visualizations that clearly communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Leadership to support data‑driven decision‑making
  • Quantify the impact of business initiatives and provide scenario and sensitivity analyses to support planning and investment decisions
  • Apply statistical, mathematical, and predictive modeling techniques to high‑volume, complex datasets
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within business segments and competitive markets
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Lead or significantly contribute to analytics projects and ongoing performance tracking initiatives
  • Act as a resource and mentor to analysts with less experience, sharing best practices and analytical approaches

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in business intelligence, analytics, data analysis, or a similar analytical discipline.
  • Proven ability to analyze large, complex datasets and develop analytical and financial models that support business decision-making.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with modern BI, data visualization, and data warehousing technologies such as SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated success designing and delivering dashboards, reports, and scalable analytical solutions for business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data mining, data integration, and migration practices within an omnichannel business environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and translate complex business challenges into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to train, coach, and support end users in the adoption of reporting, analytics, and self-service BI tools.

Preferred

  • Background in a corporate retail, convenience store, or multi-site operating environment.
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms and data ecosystems, including SAP, PDI, and Tableau.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

  • Business leaders rely on your insights to make informed decisions
  • Analytical models and dashboards are trusted, accurate, and widely used
  • Complex problems are translated into clear, data‑backed recommendations
  • You proactively identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency
  • You elevate analytics capabilities across the team by sharing knowledge and best practices
