This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of enterprise technical sales within the Managed Service Provider (MSP) ecosystem. The Enterprise Solutions Engineer will own the technical sales journey, partnering with customers and internal teams to design solutions, demonstrate value, and accelerate business growth. This position combines deep technical expertise, strategic consulting, and customer engagement to influence complex SaaS purchasing decisions. You will help build scalable pre-sales processes, create impactful technical assets, and contribute to the evolution of an enterprise solutions function. The ideal candidate is a highly autonomous problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys translating complex technology into measurable business outcomes.
- Own the complete pre-sales technical experience for MSP and enterprise customers, guiding prospects through discovery, solution design, demonstrations, evaluations, and proof-of-concept processes.
- Partner closely with Account Executives and sales leadership to develop deal strategies, communicate technical value, and support revenue growth within the MSP market.
- Lead technical conversations with a wide range of stakeholders, including IT teams, service managers, and executive decision-makers.
- Collaborate with onboarding and Customer Success teams to ensure smooth transitions, faster adoption, and long-term customer value.
- Provide technical expertise for RFPs and RFIs by reviewing requirements, developing responses, and aligning solutions with customer objectives.
- Act as a bridge between Sales and Product teams by sharing customer insights, identifying product opportunities, and influencing roadmap improvements.
- Build and maintain reusable technical resources, including demo environments, scripts, playbooks, battlecards, and sales enablement materials.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, MSP events, customer meetings, and technical forums.
- Help establish scalable enterprise solutions engineering processes, contributing to best practices, documentation, and team development.
- Support additional technical and business initiatives as needed to improve customer outcomes and sales effectiveness.
- 10+ years of experience in solutions engineering, pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role supporting enterprise B2B SaaS customers.
- Strong experience working with MSPs, IT service providers, or enterprise technology organizations, with a deep understanding of managed services environments.
- Technical background in IT operations, endpoint management, automation, ITSM platforms, or related technology ecosystems.
- Proficiency in Windows environments, including registry, services, and performance troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Linux and macOS systems, including basic command-line troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and endpoint security.
- Hands-on experience with RMM tools, ITSM platforms, and endpoint lifecycle management.
- Scripting experience with PowerShell, JavaScript, VBScript, or similar technologies is strongly preferred.
- Experience navigating complex IT environments and integrating solutions with existing infrastructure.
- Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Jira, Highspot, or comparable platforms.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to adapt communication styles for technical audiences, business leaders, and enterprise stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles, influence decision-makers, and communicate business value through technical solutions.
- High emotional intelligence, strong collaboration skills, and a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a high-growth environment with autonomy, adaptability, and a builder mentality.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant technical certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or cloud architecture certifications are a plus.
- Competitive compensation package with a base salary range of $140,000 per year and on-target earnings of approximately $200,000 per year for eligible locations.
