Policy Processing Representative

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Policy Processing Representative based in the United States.

As a Policy Processing Representative, you will support the accurate and efficient processing of commercial insurance policies and related transactions.
You will review submissions, applications, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and other policy documentation with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
The role combines policy administration, data entry, customer service, and support for underwriting activities.
You will work closely with underwriters, brokers, management, and internal teams to obtain information and resolve processing or accounting issues.
Your attention to detail will help ensure policies are properly documented, rated, issued, and maintained.
You will also contribute to reporting, special projects, and initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency and processes.
This is a full-time, fully remote opportunity within the United States in a collaborative and fast-paced insurance environment.

Accountabilities
  • Accurately review and clear new business submissions in a timely manner while maintaining strong attention to detail.

  • Populate underwriting applications with the information required to rate, document, and issue accurate and compliant insurance policies.

  • Bind and issue new and renewal commercial insurance policies in accordance with established procedures.

  • Process policy endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, non-renewal notices, and renewal solicitation notices accurately and efficiently.

  • Review policy information and supporting documentation to help maintain data integrity and compliance with applicable requirements.

  • Troubleshoot booking, accounting, and policy-processing discrepancies and coordinate appropriate resolution.

  • Communicate effectively with management, underwriters, brokers, and other stakeholders to obtain missing or clarifying information.

  • Provide timely, accurate, and professional service to internal and external customers, including underwriting teams and brokers.

  • Create and distribute routine and ad-hoc reports as requested.

  • Support underwriting-related activities, including reviewing relevant risk factors and assisting with premium calculations where appropriate.

  • Participate in special projects and operational initiatives as assigned.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency, and innovation.

  • Maintain consistent quality and productivity while meeting established processing standards and deadlines.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred, particularly in business, technology, insurance, or a related discipline.

  • At least 1 year of experience in an office or professional business environment.

  • Previous insurance industry experience is preferred, particularly exposure to policy administration, underwriting, or commercial insurance operations.

  • Experience working with core business systems and applications is preferred.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is required.

  • Knowledge of SQL is a plus.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, data integrity, and quality.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

  • Ability to consistently meet established standards for quality, productivity, and turnaround times.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies effectively.

  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to providing responsive and accurate service.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

  • Adaptability and willingness to continuously learn in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues or seek additional information.

Benefits
  • Compensation: $20.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on factors such as experience, transferable skills, training, certifications, business needs, and market conditions.
