The work you'll do will be impactful to the mission of our NYS customer. You will play a crucial role as you join our team in partnership with New York State of Health (NYSoH) to provide comprehensive health coverage to more than 7.0 million New Yorkers through its Health Benefit Exchange (HBE)
- Join our talented Business Solutions Team. Our project is built on a multi-tier architecture including Service Oriented architecture, multi-tier web applications using Java and various other COTS products.
- Deploy GDIT's methodologies and best practices to work with members of assigned Company business units to elicit, organize, document and validate business rules, functional and non-functional requirements
- Support the formulation of solutions for client business problems.
- Determine and apply appropriate analysis skills in order to elicit, organize, document and validate business rules and functional/non-functional requirements
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related technical field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience:
- Six (6)+ years of experience in analysis and design on application development projects in a Business Analyst role preferably in a large-scale environment
- Two (2)+ year of Healthcare, Medicaid, and/or Health Exchange Industry experience
Preferred Experience:
- Affordable Care Act (ACA) experience in the areas of Eligibility, Enrollment and Notices experience
- Federal and state compliance and regulations experience. New York State experience is a plus.
Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions enabling participants to articulate ideas on topics; recognize and manage various viewpoints; and gain consensus among various stakeholder groups.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear and concise documentation
- Demonstrated experience in developing use cases, managing requirements traceability, and a working knowledge of requirements management repository tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate abstract technical concepts to a varied audience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to effectively convey requirements, concerns and capabilities to all levels of management in a clear and concise manner.
