Operations Assistant at Colafemina Logistics LLC – Cohoes, New York

Colafemina Logistics (CLLG) is looking to add to our team to ensure smooth operations.

CLLG is an Amazon DSP- an independent company that partners with Amazon out of the Cohoes location to deliver packages to Amazon customers throughout the Capital Region. The Operations Assistant role is an opportunity to learn the operational tasks associated with delivery operations, including opening and closing and supporting the drivers throughout the day. For the right candidate, this can lead into a full time leadership role.

This role touches on tasks that fall into categories such as leadership, office administration, fleet management, and more. There are core daily tasks and the position requires that you switch tasks when new priorities arise and then circle back to those core tasks and ensure completion before leaving for the day.

A day in the life of....

Your morning begins with preparing bags for the drivers, checking attendance, and ensuring all drivers pass through the morning process and onto their first stop in a smooth and timely manner. As the day goes on, you'll find yourself monitoring drivers on routes, assisting drivers with issues as they arise, and documenting. As evening approaches, you will welcome drivers back and walk them through the evening checklist, check trucks for damage,and ensure all closing tasks and documentation are completed.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good organization/task prioritization skills
• Accurate record keeping and math skills
• Be committed to maintaining confidentiality in regard to business operations
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations (such as under pressure, when dealing with driver issues, when speaking with external representatives, when speaking with police at accident/incident scenes, and more)
• Experience in other leadership roles (could be school, sports, work or other types of experience)
