Position Summary:
As the Front Office Lead, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional patient experience by overseeing daily front desk operations and supporting administrative workflow. You will serve as the first point of contact for patients and families, guide front office team members, and ensure efficient, organized, and friendly service. This role is critical to maintaining the welcoming environment of our practice and ensuring seamless communication between patients, staff, and providers. Other duties may be assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements:· Lead day-to-day front desk operations, including check-in, check-out, scheduling, and phone/email communication.
· Greet and assist patients and families warmly, addressing questions and concerns professionally.
· Coordinate patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
· Collect co-pays, and support billing processes.
· Support and guide front office team members; assist with onboarding and training as needed.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the practice management system.
· Ensure HIPAA compliance and adherence to OSHA and practice protocols.
· Liaise with clinical staff, insurance companies, and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
· Monitor front office supply levels and coordinate reorders as necessary.
· Support marketing initiatives, including social media updates, email communications, and local outreach
· Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a positive, team-oriented office culture
· Scheduling all hospital surgeries
· Sending letters of treatment done on their patients
· Following up with patients to schedule treatment as needed
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
· 2+ years of front office experience in a healthcare or dental setting required.
· Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
· Strong communication and customer service skills, especially with children and families.
· Proficiency in dental practice software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Working knowledge of insurance verification and dental terminology.
· Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage time effectively.
· Upholds patient confidentiality and demonstrates professionalism at all times.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
· Primarily based in a dental office setting.
· Frequent interaction with patients, families, and staff.
· Sitting: 80%
· Standing/Walking: 20%
· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
