About The Role
As a Housekeeper in our Housekeeping department, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests, visitors, and staff. This hourly, full-time position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to high standards of cleanliness and customer service. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure rooms, common areas, and facilities are maintained to organizational and regulatory standards, while responding promptly and professionally to cleaning and housekeeping requests.
What You'll Do
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas according to established standards and checklists
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces in assigned areas
- Change linens, make beds, and replenish towels, toiletries, and other guest or staff supplies
- Empty trash and recycling containers, replace liners, and ensure proper disposal of waste
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces (e.g., doorknobs, light switches, phones, railings) on a regular schedule
- Inspect rooms and areas for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and safety hazards, reporting any concerns promptly
- Use and store cleaning chemicals and supplies safely, following all safety and handling guidelines
- Operate housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, floor machines, and carts in a safe and efficient manner
- Follow department procedures for lost and found items, key control, and access to secured areas
- Respond to cleaning or housekeeping requests from guests, visitors, or staff in a courteous and timely manner
- Restock housekeeping carts, closets, and storage areas to ensure adequate supplies for each shift
- Adhere to all infection control, safety, and security policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to prioritize tasks and ensure daily workload is completed
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required to maintain knowledge of policies, procedures, and best practices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work a full-time hourly schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30–50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness to work with cleaning chemicals and follow all safety and handling procedures
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills, with a professional and respectful demeanor at all times
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of guests, visitors, and staff
- Eligibility to work in the country of employment and ability to pass any required background checks or health screenings
The pay range for this role is:
15 - 15 USD per hour(Hilton Garden Inn Billings)
