Position Summary
Amaero Advanced Materials and Manufacturing is seeking a Project Manager to lead the development, qualification, and production scale-up of critical components supporting U.S. Naval Programs
This role will serve as Project Manager providing technical leadership throughout the product lifecycle—from initial component design and first-article qualification through manufacturing process development, production readiness, and program scale-up. The ideal candidate brings strong experience delivering to MIL-DTL requirements, a deep understanding of highly regulated manufacturing environments, and the ability to build trusted relationships with customers and program stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
· Serve as Project Manager for the development and delivery of critical components supporting Naval Programs
· Develop and execute manufacturing strategies that meet applicable MIL-DTL requirements, customer specifications, and stringent quality standards.
· Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program activities to ensure successful project execution and on-time delivery.
Support process development, optimization, and continuous improvement for critical components.
· Provide technical leadership in root-cause analysis, process qualification, and production problem resolution.
· Develop and maintain technical documentation, manufacturing processes, qualification plans, and project records.
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure products meet demanding requirements for quality, reliability, and performance.
Requirements:Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
· Minimum 5 years of experience designing components to MIL-DTL requirements, including first-article qualification and transition to production-scale manufacturing.
· Demonstrated experience taking components from development and qualification through production program scale-up.
· Proven ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships with technical and program stakeholders.
· Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple technical priorities and deliverables.
· 5+ years of experience manufacturing powder metal components.
· Experience with PM-HIP process optimization and HIP cycle design.
· Experience working directly with U.S. Navy, Department of Defense, or other nuclear-related programs.
· Familiarity with rigorous government, defense, and/or nuclear quality requirements.
