Radiology Technologist Student in Bolivar, Missouri at Citizens Memorial

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Radiologic Technology Student to join our Radiology Department at our main hospital located in Bolivar, Missouri. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. About the department: Utilizing the newest state-of-the-art equipment and technologies, the Radiology Department provides 24/7 diagnostic imaging services to meet the needs of a wide variety of patients at both the hospital and Outpatient Imaging Center. Examinations are performed on both a scheduled and emergent basis and may include diagnostic radiology, mammography, vascular and echocardiography, ultrasound, PET and CT, and MRI.

A typical day will include: Performing routine and specialized x-ray examinations in both the hospital and Outpatient Imaging Center.

• Prepares patients for examinations, positioning and / or immobilizing patient in accordance with types of procedures to be administered, considering the safety, physical, and psychological needs of the patient
• Performs examination, adjusting control panel settings, such as voltage, amperage, and time of exposure, as necessary
• Processes data assuring optimal imaging has been achieved prior to discharge of the patient, re-imaging as necessary
• Assists Radiologist and medical staff as required

Job Requirements:

• Education: Must be currently enrolled as a student in an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Experience: No prior experience required
• Skills: Verbal and non-verbal communication, examination skills, patient safety
• Licensure/Certification: N/A
• Physical: Ability to bend, stoop, stand, and walk the majority of the time; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. infrequently and 20-25 lbs. frequently

This position is: PRN, filling in approximately 4 hours every two weeks
