Position Overview

3G Productions is seeking an experienced Internal Video Engineer to provide dedicated technical and pre-production support to the Video Department. This position will partner closely with the Video Director, Sales, Project Management, Operations, and warehouse teams to ensure video requirements are accurately translated from customer quotes and technical designs into complete, executable pull sheets.

The Internal Video Engineer will review project information, identify missing or conflicting technical details, maintain accurate equipment requirements, and support the timely flow of information throughout the production process. • Monitor pull sheets throughout the pre-production process and make timely updates when project scope, equipment needs, or technical information changes.
  • Coordinate with Sales to obtain missing information and confirm that quoted video equipment aligns with the technical needs of each project.
  • Identify discrepancies between quotes, plots, pull sheets, and other project documentation before information is released to the warehouse.
  • Partner with Project Managers and Operations to ensure video requirements are clearly communicated and incorporated into the overall production plan.
  • Communicate pull-sheet changes and equipment requirements to video shop leads and other warehouse staff.
  • Identify equipment shortages, substitutions, and potential sub-rental needs and escalate them to the Video Director.
  • Use FLEX Rental Solutions to support equipment planning, inventory coordination, and pull-sheet management.
  • Assist with video system planning, signal flow, equipment selection, and technical troubleshooting during pre-production.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Video Department templates, standards, documentation, and workflows.
  • Serve as an internal technical resource for questions involving cameras, LED systems, video processing, switching, routing, media servers, and related video equipment.
  • Assist with equipment quality-control processes and coordinate with the Video Director and warehouse teams regarding damaged, missing, or service-related equipment.
  • Support the training and development of video technicians and other team members as needed.
  • Monitor multiple projects simultaneously and proactively communicate concerns that could affect equipment availability, warehouse preparation, or project execution.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Experience creating or managing equipment pull sheets for live productions.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between sales quotes, technical designs, equipment planning, warehouse preparation, and show execution.
  • Experience with FLEX Rental Solutions or a similar rental and inventory management system.
