Account Executive (West Coast)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Executive (West Coast) based in Canada.

This is a full-cycle sales role focused on expanding adoption of innovative technology across the structural steel and prefabrication industries.
You will own the sales journey from initial prospecting and qualification through demonstrations, negotiation, and closing.
The role combines consultative selling, relationship building, technical product knowledge, and business development.
You will engage decision-makers and operational teams to understand their challenges and demonstrate how technology can improve manufacturing workflows.
The position offers significant autonomy and is suited to an entrepreneurial, self-motivated professional who takes ownership of their pipeline and results.
You will work in a fully remote environment while representing the business at customer sites, conferences, trade shows, and industry events when required.
Your success will be measured through pipeline development, customer engagement, sales performance, and the ability to build long-term commercial relationships.

Accountabilities
  • Develop an expert-level understanding of existing products and build knowledge of new solutions as they are introduced.

  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new potential customers through phone, email, social media, and other outbound channels.

  • Build, manage, and continuously develop a sales pipeline using HubSpot or another CRM platform.

  • Schedule and conduct online demonstrations with both warm and cold prospects.

  • Deliver engaging online and in-person product demonstrations, using consultative questioning to uncover customer pain points and connect solutions to business needs.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations.

  • Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, discovery, presentations, negotiation, and closing.

  • Negotiate commercial terms and close opportunities while meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets.

  • Monitor and report on key sales metrics to evaluate performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and maintain pipeline visibility.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records throughout the sales process.

  • Ensure a smooth handoff from sales to customer success by documenting customer requirements, expectations, commitments, and relevant context.

  • Respond thoughtfully to customer questions and concerns, providing knowledgeable and commercially relevant guidance that supports both sales and long-term retention.

  • Represent the business professionally at conferences, trade shows, customer locations, and other industry events, including occasional travel within and outside Canada.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in the construction or manufacturing industry, or 5+ years of technical sales experience, preferably within a SaaS environment.

  • Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets and quotas.

  • Demonstrated experience managing a full-cycle sales process, including lead generation, prospecting, outreach, discovery, negotiation, and closing.

  • Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to uncover customer needs and connect them to relevant solutions.

  • Exceptional spoken and written English communication skills.

  • Experience using CRM platforms; HubSpot experience is an asset.

  • Competitive, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset with a strong sense of accountability.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of sales activity while maintaining strong follow-through.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

  • Fast learner with the ability to quickly understand technical products, manufacturing processes, and customer workflows.

  • Confidence communicating the value of technical solutions to executives, sales leaders, operational teams, and other stakeholders.

  • Experience or exposure to manufacturing, construction, structural steel, or other technical products is highly preferred.

  • Professionalism, diplomacy, tact, and composure when interacting with customers in workplace, trade show, and other professional environments.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote environment.

Benefits
  • Competitive compensation of CAD $50,000–$65,000 base salary plus commission, with an estimated OTE of CAD $106,400–$176,400.

  • Competitive employee benefits.

  • Fully remote work environment within Canada.

  • 2 weeks of paid vacation.

  • 5 paid sick days.

  • CAD $2,000 annual technology stipend.

  • Annual company-wide offsite.

  • Company-wide holiday closure during the Christmas period.

  • Ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities focused on career growth.

  • Opportunity to work with innovative augmented reality and SaaS technology serving the global manufacturing industry.

  • Exposure to international customers, industry events, and emerging applications of technology in structural steel and prefabrication.
