Head of Field Marketing

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Field Marketing based in the United States.

This is a senior marketing leadership role responsible for shaping and executing field marketing strategy across North America.
You will translate global marketing priorities into localized programs that drive demand, pipeline, customer engagement, and commercial growth.
The role spans Life Science, Pharma, Diagnostics, BioPharma, Academic, and Government Research markets.
You will partner closely with sales and commercial leaders to align marketing investments with regional business objectives.
The position combines strategic planning with hands-on leadership of campaigns, events, customer programs, and market intelligence initiatives.
You will also build and develop a high-performing field marketing team while promoting innovation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and execute North American field marketing strategies and localized activation plans aligned with broader growth objectives and regional market needs.

  • Own regional demand generation and marketing pipeline contribution through integrated campaigns, account-based marketing, events, and targeted customer engagement programs.

  • Partner with sales leadership to translate commercial priorities into actionable marketing plans, strengthen sales enablement, and align marketing investments with revenue objectives.

  • Lead regional workshops, seminars, trade shows, customer programs, and omnichannel initiatives while developing relationships with key external experts, strategic partners, and industry influencers.

  • Gather and communicate customer feedback, competitive intelligence, market trends, pricing developments, and regional insights to inform product positioning, commercial strategy, and future growth opportunities.

  • Oversee marketing operations, planning, budgets, lead management, CRM utilization, and performance measurement, maintaining visibility into ROI, pipeline contribution, and business impact.

  • Develop programs supporting the full customer lifecycle, including acquisition, adoption, retention, expansion, and advocacy across digital, virtual, and in-person channels.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Field Marketing Managers, establishing a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, talent development, and continuous improvement.

  • Identify opportunities to use artificial intelligence and automation to simplify processes, increase execution speed, and improve operational efficiency.

  • Travel throughout North America as needed for team meetings, customer engagements, events, and regional partner activities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, or a related scientific or medical discipline.

  • 8–10+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing, with significant field marketing experience within Life Science, Pharma, Diagnostics, or a closely related industry.

  • Previous leadership experience, including the ability to hire, coach, develop, and retain high-performing marketing teams.

  • Demonstrated success planning, executing, and evaluating regional marketing campaigns, workshops, trade shows, seminars, and customer programs.

  • Strong analytical capabilities and experience measuring campaign and event effectiveness, including ROI and pipeline contribution.

  • Proven ability to gather, interpret, and apply regional market intelligence and customer insights to commercial strategies.

  • Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with sales, commercial, product, marketing, and external partners.

  • Ability and willingness to adopt and scale AI-enabled solutions to improve marketing processes, efficiency, and speed.

  • Experience with project management tools, marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and CRM systems such as Salesforce is a plus.

  • Previous sales support or sales enablement experience within Life Science, Pharma, or Diagnostics is advantageous.

  • Ability to travel up to 40%, including occasional overnight travel.

  • Strong strategic thinking, commercial orientation, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
