Job Summary:

The GGC Urgent Care Lead APRN will serve as both a clinical provider and a leader for the advanced practice team across urgent care centers. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, supervising and mentoring fellow APRNs, and collaborating with the medical and operational leadership to ensure efficient and effective clinical operations. The Lead APRN will play a key role in improving clinical outcomes, standardizing care practices, and promoting professional development among advanced practice providers (APPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Care:
    • Provide direct patient care in urgent care settings, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute illnesses and injuries.
    • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and implement treatment plans in accordance with clinical guidelines and state regulations.
    • Collaborate with physicians, other APRNs, and clinical staff to deliver comprehensive care to patients, ensuring a high level of service and patient satisfaction.
    • Serve as a clinical role model, maintaining high standards of care and professionalism in all patient interactions.
  • Leadership & Mentorship:
    • Lead, supervise, and mentor APRNs within the urgent care centers, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional development, and continuous learning.
    • Assist in the onboarding and orientation of new APRNs, providing clinical guidance and
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations of APRNs, offering constructive feedback and promoting continuous improvement.
    • Develop and implement professional development initiatives for APRNs, including training programs and continuing education.
    • Clinical Operations & Workflow:
      • Work closely with the GGC Urgent Care Medical Director and Business Director to ensure that clinical workflows are efficient and aligned with organizational goals.
      • Collaborate with medical and operational leadership to optimize staffing models, ensuring appropriate provider coverage and effective use of clinical resources.
      • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols, policies, and best practices to ensure high-quality care across all urgent care centers.
    • Quality Improvement & Patient Safety:
      • Assist in monitoring and improving clinical performance, including patient outcomes, quality metrics, and adherence to clinical protocols.
      • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including the review of clinical data and patient feedback to enhance care delivery and patient satisfaction.
      • Ensure that all APRNs adhere to patient safety standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaboration & Communication:
      • Serve as the liaison between APRNs, physicians, and administrative leadership, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across clinical teams.
      • Participate in leadership meetings, offering input on clinical and operational improvements to optimize urgent care services.
      • Advocate for the needs and professional growth of APRNs, promoting a supportive and collaborative work environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related
    • Proven leadership and mentoring experience, with the ability to manage and support clinical
    • Strong knowledge of urgent care protocols, healthcare regulations, and patient safety
    • Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal

    Education:

    • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited
    • Active and unrestricted APRN license in the state of
    • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or an applicable specialty.
