Job Description

Tombras, a 450+ person, full-service, national advertising agency with a digital mindset, is seeking an Associate Director, Influencer.

You’ll be joining one of the top independent agencies in North America. The Tombras Influencer team has worked with some of your favorite brands on the internet. This position reports to the VP of Influencer and will be responsible for managing day-to-day influencer efforts for clients, working closely with team leadership, other agency departments, and external partners to create and foster world-class influencer campaigns for clients.

The ideal candidate combines communication, strategy, and industry experience to contribute to our efforts across all clients and help grow and evolve our influencer marketing practice at Tombras.

What you'll be doing:

Client and Internal Education

Monitor digital media and influencer landscape for relevant industry and competitor news to educate internal peers and clients on an ongoing basisLead influencer/content creator POVs for internal and client needs Continuously explore new social platforms, functionalities, and emerging talent to drive innovation in the space across categories Build ongoing education opportunities for partners that help advance the influencer offering in and outside the walls of Tombras

Relationship Building

Become the go-to source of all things influencer across your accounts, fielding questions from both client and internal teamsBuild rapport with key stakeholders and understand how they work and how best we can work collaborativelyConduct outreach and build relationships with known agencies, managers, etc. Mentor team members to help roadmap their professional development and combat obstacles to help them reach goals

Campaign and Partner Management

Be accountable for the overall success of your influencer programsBuild and execute creator strategies specific to campaigns for a wide range of clients, refine current success metrics, and introduce new success metricsCompile research and trend forecasting that lead to insightful creative approaches, laddering back to business objectives and program goalsResearch and recommend creators to bring to life content creator campaigns/activations, including influencer vetting to confirm brand alignmentLead outreach initiatives and oversee contracting Collaborate with business affairs team to review contracts and talent agreements, as well as in-house creatives, community managers, brand strategists, project managers, account teams, and analysts Oversee campaign management and execution from briefing to launch, including client communication, running briefing calls, trafficking concepts and asset delivery, content monitoring, and insights/reportingContribute to best-in-class influencer marketing strategies spanning audience insights, channel mix, content tactics and more

Leadership

Mentor and inspire a team to create best-in-class influencer programsHelp identify, create, and implement new processes that evolve the influencer practiceEstablish ways of working with the New Business and Accounts teams to put influencer front and center to help acquire new clients and grow current clientsBe the influencer expert in every room to create ongoing value and guidance for internal teams and clients alike

What you bring:

4+ years of experience working in a digital, social, and/or influencer marketing environment includingA self-starter who loves collaboration and is open to feedback, comfortable working independently as well as influencing cross-functional teams.Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and work quickly and efficiently with experience managing multiple projects at one time in a fast-paced environmentExpertise in negotiating talent agreements and managing campaign budgetsEstablished and extensive network of managers/agents or contactsExperience with social media measurement and reporting with the ability to understand analytics and turn into digestible insights and opportunities for clientsExperience managing, mentoring, or leading a team, giving feedback, setting goals, and fostering a positive team culture Provide thought leadership to our team, leading by example for junior team members, elevating our client work and ensuring Tombras is pushing the boundaries of what influencer marketing can achieve, ensuring we remain ahead of industry trends and client expectations.A strong understanding of influencer marketing’s impact and relationship on production, organic and paid media, and PRKnowledge of all major social platforms and recent trends on Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, and other developing platformsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detailAble to present effectively and coherently, and to correspond with external partners on an ongoing basis An attitude of positivity, adaptability, curiosity, and exploration
