This is a highly analytical and intellectually rigorous role operating at the intersection of mathematics, finance, legal structuring, and business strategy. You will work directly with senior legal and corporate leaders to analyze complex transactions, executive compensation arrangements, and ownership structures through a quantitative lens. The role focuses on building models that uncover economic logic, value distribution, and financial incentives across sophisticated deal environments. You will also integrate AI-driven tools into your workflow to enhance the speed and depth of analysis. The environment is fast-paced, remote-first, and highly autonomous, requiring strong independent thinking and precision. This position is ideal for a quantitative professional who enjoys solving complex structural problems and applying advanced analytical reasoning to real-world financial and legal challenges. Your insights will directly influence high-stakes structuring and negotiation decisions.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will develop and apply quantitative models to analyze complex legal and financial structures, supporting strategic decision-making in corporate and M&A contexts. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to interpret data, test assumptions, and translate complex arrangements into clear economic insights.

  • Analyze and model complex financial, ownership, and compensation structures to identify value drivers and economic logic
  • Map incentive, equity, and distribution frameworks across multiple transaction scenarios
  • Build, refine, and maintain quantitative models used in live legal and financial matters
  • Stress-test assumptions and identify financial sensitivities, risks, and structural inefficiencies
  • Integrate AI-powered tools into analytical workflows to enhance accuracy and efficiency
  • Contribute to the development of advanced analytical frameworks and methodologies
  • Support decision-making in deal structuring, negotiation, and risk assessment processes
  • Translate dense financial and legal information into clear, structured analytical outputs
Requirements:

This role requires a strong quantitative background combined with advanced analytical thinking and the ability to operate independently in complex, high-performance environments. The ideal candidate is intellectually rigorous, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable working with abstract financial and structural problems.

  • Master’s or PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or related quantitative field
  • Strong expertise in quantitative modeling and advanced analytical reasoning
  • Proven ability to use AI tools in professional settings for data modeling and analysis
  • High proficiency in Excel and other analytical or modeling tools
  • Strong logical thinking and ability to simplify complex structures into analytical frameworks
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong judgment and ability to distinguish signal from noise in complex datasets
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting analytical findings clearly
  • Prior legal experience is not required
Benefits:
  • Remote-first working arrangement
  • Exposure to high-level corporate, M&A, and executive compensation structuring work
  • Opportunity to work directly with senior legal and corporate leadership
  • Highly intellectual and research-driven work environment
  • Access to advanced AI-enabled analytical workflows and tools
  • Autonomy and ownership over complex analytical projects
  • Inclusive and intellectually diverse work culture
