Position Summary
KidsPeace is Seeking a dedicated HVAC&R Technician to install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on heating ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and to oversee Facility Building Automation Equipment operation and repair.
Shifts Available:
- Full-Time
- Day Shift

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate or equivalent; Graduate of an HVAC&R Vocational Technical Training Program required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the HVAC&R trade and building automation operation preferred.
- EPA Certification for proper refrigerant practices required.
- Valid state driver's license required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Able to work with children.

Responsibilities:
- Installation of all types of HVAC-Refrigeration equipment in a safe and acceptable manner.
- Install electrical wiring and control wiring as necessary.
- Properly design and size an HVAC&R system.
- Install and repair duct work.
- Utilize proper filtration.
- Troubleshoot and repair or replace HVAC&R components as necessary.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Perform indoor air quality testing.
- Utilize safe working practices.
- Assist with snow removal.
- Respond to after hour emergencies as required; Carry and respond to a departmental pager as necessary.
- Perform clerical tasks related to the position, (EPA regulations) as required and necessary.
- Assist with other maintenance tasks and duties as necessary and required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, or his designee.
