Job Description
Position Summary:
The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as a part of a team to ensure optimal performance of HVAC systems in residential and commercial properties.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioners, furnaces, ventilation systems, and refrigeration unitsDiagnose mechanical, plumbing and electrical issues and perform necessary repairsConduct routine maintenance checks, filter replacements, and refrigerant levels, and lubricating moving partsHandle emergency repairs promptly and efficiently Read blueprints and technical diagrams to understand HVAC layoutsEnsure systems comply with local and federal HVAC codes and regulationsCalibrate controls and thermostats for optimal performanceProvide accurate documentation of work performed and parts used on company’s CRM systemCommunicate effectively with clients and team members regarding job status and recommendationsAdherence to all Federal & State safety requirements, including but not limited to the Company’s safety programs and policiesUnderstanding of manual J, Airflow Charts & Refrigerant scales.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferredCompletion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeshipValid HVAC license or certification2+ years proven experience as an HVAC technician preferredStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and repair techniquesAbility to read schematics and blueprintsValid driver’s license and clean driving record Strong understanding of plumbing and electrical

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
