HVAC Mechanic at Hunterdon Health Care System – Flemington, New Jersey

Position Summary

To maintain and repair all heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration equipment throughout the facility.

Primary Position Responsibilities

1.Install, repair, and maintain environmental systems throughout the hospital.

2.Repair and maintain all refrigerators and freezers throughout the facility.

3.Monitor building automation system and respond to requests for changes and alarms.

4.Repair all chilled water, hot water, and steam lines servicing all environmental equipment.

5.Make repairs based on work orders generated from dispatch according to priority.

6.Advise Supervisor of parts/stock needed in order to make necessary repairs.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Required:

●High School Diploma or Equivalent

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

Required:

5 years of Commercial HVAC experience

Preferred:

Prior HVAC experience in a Hospital /Healthcare setting

License, Registry or Certification:

Required:

●Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certificate

●Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

Required:

Air distribution systems, preheat & reheat systems, control systems, strong mechanical background.

Preferred:

Steam systems
